My Altansar Eldar take on Marshall's Hive Fleet Behemoth again. Marshall changed bits of his army from the previous game by removing the Raveners and replacing them with Genestealers.

We rolled for scenario from the Maelstrom of War and got Deadlock. Marshall won the rolloff for Deployment and First Turn.

I rolled really lousily for the powers and the only useful one was Guide. Didn't manage to Seize the Initiative so Marshall drew 6 Objective Cards.

The gap was widening and I was losing units fast.

Not much movement in Turn 5. The Mawloc arrived and went back into reserve after not being able to take down the unit of 5 Spiders. That Mishap table was friendly to Marshall.
Marshall kept rolling 3VPs for these D3 Objectives

Marshall played well and a big part of the time, luck had deserted me. We both concluded that I was wearing the wrong underwear. There will be another one!
Looking forward to the game with Melvin's recently completed Dark Eldar this 12th November.

Marshall reinforced his right flank with the 2 Flyrants where my Wraithknight was. I planned to take out the Exocrine by charging it with the Wraithknight. |

Premonition of things to come. Disembarked the Dire Avengers and moved up the building to cap Obj 2 only to have the Serpent immobilize. |
Sent the Wraithknight out to the flank to go for the Exocrine and Malanthrope |
I wanted to kill off some of the Hive Guard and sent the brave Farseer up front to try to psychic them. Didn't manage to do much. In the shooting phase I jet him behind my lines. |

Followed by the Biovores who took out 7 of the 10 Guardians. |
Genestealers charge in destroying every one except one who then decided to continue fighting, thus keeping the Genestealers safe from the next round of shooting. |

Managed to wipe the unit of Rippers and some of the Gargolyes next to the Obj6 allowing me to Battlefocus up to capture it |

Spiders, Knight and Walkers manage to destroy the Malanthrope and do another 2 wounds on the Exocrine |
